HP: Why We Sponsor
In 2003, EDS became title sponsor for the EDS Byron Nelson Championship. On Oct. 2, 2008, given HP’s recent acquisition of EDS, HP was thrilled to assume the title sponsorship of the tournament. For HP, just as EDS has done in the past, the partnership reflects a strategic investment that supports the community and the Salesmanship Club of Dallas. The Byron Nelson Championship is about much more than golf; it is about giving back to the community and honoring the legacy of one of golf’s greatest humanitarians, Byron Nelson. Since its inception in 1968, the Byron Nelson Championship has raised more than $107 million to help thousands of troubled and at-risk children and their families each year.
